A new clip from THE SWALLOW shows the grotesque effects of the sentient, flesh-eating sludge at the center of the story.
The Swallow is from the writing and directing duo of Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer, the same team behind ‘Starry Eyes’ (2014).
The premise of The Swallow involves a group of people camping in a forest when they discover that they’re surrounded by pools of sludge that want to kill and presumably eat them. It sounds a lot like “The Raft” segment of Creepshow 2, but on land instead of on a lake. You can see a short clip from the movie on YouTube of someone searching for their keys in the sludge, only to have the skin slide off their hand and arm as they pull it out of the muck.
The Swallow is currently in its festival run, but hopefully we’ll get news of a general release soon.
