Today’s new releases include a horror-tinged neo-noir about a road trip gone wrong in the desert, a slasher movie, and some supernatural scares.

Today’s most interesting streaming release is A Desert, a dark neo-noir thriller that has received many positive reviews since its limited theatrical release earlier this year. Also available to watch today is a Valentine’s Day slasher, a new exorcism film that alludes to a famous religious tale, a board-game horror movie, and a crime/horror/monster movie.

A photographer attempts to recapture past success by taking his camera on the road and capturing an underseen side of America. During his travels, he meets a couple of enigmatic strangers. Meanwhile, the photographer’s wife hasn’t heard from him, so she enlists the aid of a disgraced private detective to find out where he is.

Pretty Boy

Pretty Boy is a sequel to the 2019 film Blind, and this movie picks up immediately after the end of the first film.

A masked killer who has kidnapped a blind former actress (as seen in flashbacks) crashes a 1980s themed Valentine’s Day party. Blood is spilled as the body count rises.

Unholy Song

A sequel, Unholy Song 2, is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to start shooting this summer.
