8 Horror Blu-Rays Released Today (May 13, 2025)
Streaming is great. Physical media is better.

This week’s new Blu-ray releases cover a broad spectrum of horror. If you’re looking for a cult classic, go with May. If you like your horror brutal and extreme, check out Visceral. Slick remakes? The Crazies just got a nice 4K SteelBook release. Or if you like the supernatural, there are multiple choices below.
May (2002)

Edition: Vestron Collector’s Series Blu-ray

This new release of the cult classic May comes from the highly collectible Vestron Video series of Blu-rays. It’s #32 in the collection, and like the previous 31 movies, it comes packed with bonus features. Three commentaries, multiple interviews, and featurettes make this a great updated version for fans of this fantastic film.
The Crazies (2010)

Visceral: Between the Ropes of Madness (2012)

This brutal Chilean horror movie is about a disgraced boxer who descends into a spiral of torture and murder. This movie is only for fans of extreme horror. Commentary from Felipe Eluti (the writer, director, and star) is included on the disc.
The Naked Witch (1969)

Distributor: VCI Entertainment
A series of murders in the Louisiana bayous attracts the attention of Dr. Ralph Hayes, a researcher of the paranormal. Hayes believes there is a witch in the area, and he takes a small team with him to the bayou to find out. There, they become targeted by a warlock who wants to initiate one of their own into his coven. This release of The Naked Witch is somewhat limited in features, but it’s just nice having the movie on Blu-ray.
The Houses of Doom Collection

The Houses of Doom is a collection of four haunted house movies made for Italian TV in 1989. Famed directors Lucio Fulci and Umberto Lenzi were hired to direct (they each did two films), and if you’re familiar with those names, then you know how gruesome their movies can be. Suffice to say, the movies were too violent for television, so they were shelved and later released on home video. Cauldron Films present all four movies in a bundle of four standard edition Blu-rays.
