Field of Screams is from co-writers and co-directors Alix Moad and Alix Moad.

For viewers who enjoy: low-budget slashers, killer scarecrows

Allen inherits an old farmhouse from his late grandfather. But when he and his friends go there to prepare the place for sale, they discover more than just old furniture. There’s a living scarecrow on the property who is very protective of the land, and who will kill anyone who tries to mess with it.

First Moon

First Moon stars Lauren Esposito, whom you might recognize from The Conjuring 2 (2016) as Margaret, one of the sisters of the possessed girl Janet.

For viewers who enjoy: werewolves, religious horror

Jessica lives a normal life as a waitress until she is kidnapped by a religious cult. She soon discovers that she was targeted because she has been infected with a werewolf virus which the cult will try to cure her of. The “cure,” however, looks a lot like torture.

Thorns

Doug Bradley (Pinhead in the majority of the Hellraiser films) appears in Thorns.

A former priest and current NASA operative travels to a remote location to check on an observatory that went silent. What he finds is an evil being intent on sending a mind-shattering signal over the airwaves. The creature’s ultimate goal? To fulfill a prophecy and bring forth Hell on Earth.

Bishop’s Cove

Bishop’s Cove was written and directed by Charles D. Lincoln, the son of Fred J. Lincoln (Weasel in The Last House on the Left and a prolific adult filmmaker).

For viewers who enjoy: demons, gore, grieving

Heather is asked to deliver the ashes of her ex, whom she hasn’t seen in years, to her ex’s parents. While becoming involved in the parents’ grieving process, Heather struggles to come to terms with her past while facing psychological and literal demons in the present.

Wake Up

Co-directors Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell previously collaborated on multiple movies, including Summer of 84 (2018) and We Are Zombies (2023).

For viewers who enjoy: humans hunting humans, single location horror

A group of activists plan to hide out in a large store so they can vandalize the place after it closes. But as night falls, they realize that they’ve been locked inside by a disgruntled security guard who uses their presence as an excuse to hunt and kill the activists one by one.
