CAPTURING BIGFOOT promises to reveal the truth about the famous Patterson–Gimlin, including the emotional toll it took on the people directly and indirectly involved with making it. In theaters and on Prime Video October 20.

The Patterson–Gimlin film is probably the most famous “evidence” of Bigfoot ever produced. Shot in 1967, it is a long-debated film of about 59 seconds that depicts something or someone walking near the Klamath River in California.

‘Capturing Bigfoot’ hinges on new film footage given to the documentary’s director, Marq Evans, which had supposedly been locked in a safe for decades. The emotional core of the documentary is focused on Clint Patterson, the son of Roger Patterson, one of the two men responsible for the original 1967 footage. Interviews from Clint and other people involved with the history of the original film are included throughout Capturing Bigfoot.

Capturing Bigfoot will be in select theaters and streaming on Prime Video the same day, on October 20, 2026.
