A New Paranormal Comedy From ‘Rick and Morty’ Writer Matt Roller Is Coming to Netflix Next Month

In addition to ‘Rick and Morty’, Roller has also written for ‘Community’, ‘Speechless’, ‘Son of Zorn’, and ‘Archer’.

Paranormal comedy Haunted Hotel hits Netflix next month.

Netflix will soon have a new show for “fans of comedy, horror, horror comedy, families, hotels, cults, monsters with tentacles, monsters without tentacles, werewolves, and blenders.” That’s according to Matt Roller, Rick and Morty writer and creator of Haunted Hotel, a new paranormal comedy heading to Netflix next month.

Haunted Hotel will follow a single mother of two who struggles to run a haunted hotel. She receives some help from her estranged brother, who is now one of the ghosts haunting the hotel. The first season will have 10 episodes.

The main cast will be voiced by Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson.

Netflix’s Director of Adult Animation, Billy Wee, said “Haunted Hotel is wildly inventive and I’m very grateful to Matt, Chris, Dan, and their team for bringing their talents to Netflix…They are phenomenal collaborators and I can’t wait for fans all over the world to experience this hilarious show.”

Haunted Hotel will premiere on Netflix on September 19.
