'Christmas at the Kringles' Pits a Suburban Dad and a Badass Santa Against a Family of Holiday-Obsessed Cultists

The teaser for “Christmas at the Kringles” dropped on September 16, and it turns the coziest holiday into a bloodbath. The Seversons move to a quiet suburb, only to find their new neighbors, the Kringles, celebrate Christmas year-round. When Mark and Julie start worrying about their son Bobby’s attachment to the family next door, Mark heads over to bring everyone home and learns the Kringles plan to hypnotize and indoctrinate them.

That’s where the rogue, badass Santa comes in. Ron Livingston plays Mark, Rachel Bilson plays Julie, and Rob Riggle is the drunk Santa who joins the action-packed rescue. Thomas Lennon shows up as Nick Kringle wielding a chainsaw, with Beverly D’Angelo, Arden Myrin, David Wain, and Donald Faison rounding out the cast.

It comes from “Willy’s Wonderland” director Kevin Lewis, working off a script by Zack Imbrogno. Lewis has called it a “zany and bonkers genre film in the vein of Willy’s Wonderland,” and Briarcliff Entertainment has billed it as “the most unhinged Christmas movie you’ll ever see.”

Briarcliff releases it in theaters on October 30.
