Dee Snider's 'Strangeland' Is Now a Haunted Attraction

The haunt is now open at the Woods of Terror haunted park in Greensboro, North Carolina. A video preview posted Dee Snider and Woods of Terror shows a brief walkthrough of a house of torture with a scare actor dressed as Captain Howdy, and nods to the film.

Strangeland was released in 1998. The movie was written by Dee Snider of the band Twisted Sister, and it was directed by John Pieplow.

Dee Snider stars in the movie as a man who uses the name Captain Howdy to lure people into being victims of forced body modification/torture. When he targets a police detective’s daughter, confrontation leads to revenge.

If you want to check out the haunt based on Strangeland, it’s open now through November 6 at the Woods of Terror in Greensboro, North Carolina.
