Coming from the director of Green Room, A24’s Slayground follows a scare actor who wakes up among his murdered co-workers, unable to remember what happened. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are composing the score.
Cory Michael Smith plays “Metal Mike” Graves, who faces a statewide manhunt as he tries to piece together a killing that could lead back to him.
The trailer places the massacre at the Slayground haunted attraction on October 24. Michael was found at the scene covered in blood. His missing memories leave the central question open: what part did he play in the deaths?
Saulnier wrote and directed the Halloween-set horror action thriller, which was announced under the title October in June 2025. The cast includes Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, Stanley Simons, James Badge Dale, Stephen Root, Chris Sullivan, Young Mazino, Imogen Poots, Matty Matheson, and Macon Blair.
Poots previously worked with Saulnier on Green Room, and Dale appeared in his Hold the Dark.
A24 will release Slayground in theaters on January 29, 2027.
