Joko Anwar's 'Ghost in the Cell' Is Now Playing in Limited U.S. Theaters

A malevolent force that feeds on negative energy is loose inside a prison in the gory Indonesian horror film GHOST IN THE CELL, now playing in theaters.

Ghost in the Cell was written and directed by Joko Anwar, the filmmaker behind movies including Impetigore (2019), Queen of Black Magic (2019), and Satan’s Slaves (2017).

The story in Ghost in the Cell follows a journalist who is thrown in prison for a brutal and hideous crime he didn’t commit. While enduring prison life, he discovers that an entity that feeds on anger and negativity is ripping inmates apart. Now he and his fellow prisoners must figure out how to survive.

Early reviews for Ghost in the Cell have been generally positive. If you enjoy bloody horror with black humor, you’ll probably want to check this movie out.
