Frankly, I’m surprised there aren’t more new releases this week. I guess everyone thinks people are too busy this weekend with 4th of July celebrations. Not me though! I’m still here, looking for new movies. Today brings one movie you’ve probably already seen to subscription streaming, and another movie you might feel like you’ve already seen to free streaming.

As always, be sure to check our New & Upcoming Horror Movies tracker for all of the newest horror releases.

New to Subscription Streaming

Sinners

Expect another surge of discussion about Sinners now that even more people will be watching.

For viewers who enjoy: vampires, historical horror, one of the best horror movies of the year

Sinners is by far the most talked about and highest grossing horror movie of 2025 so far. And for good reason. It’s an amazing film that all horror fans should see. It started streaming on Max today, with an option for watching with Black American Sign Language interpretation.

Great White Waters

Another month, another low-budget shark movie.

For viewers who enjoy: shark movies, crime thrillers, Tubi Originals

A load of drugs sinks into the waters off the coast of Florida, but who will brave the shark-infested waters to retrieve the goods? The basic premise of Great White Waters sounds a lot like Into the Deep from earlier this year. But hey, there have been a fair number of good Tubi Originals. Hopefully this is one of them.
