A struggling true-crime podcaster invites danger onto her show to boost her numbers in MARROW, streaming November 3.

Jamie Foster, who goes by the screen name Distal Marrow, has pivoted away from true-crime podcasting, and her views/listens have suffered for it. Pressured to regain her previous viral popularity, she allows onto her show an anonymous caller who claims to have information about a string of missing women. Jamie has opened a door to a darkness that she might not be able to close.

The few write-ups I’ve read so far about Marrow differ a bit on a few of the specific details of the plot’s setup, which would indicate a fair amount of mystery and interpretation baked into the story. At least, that’s what it seems like. I didn’t dig too much into it beyond the trailer because it looks like an interesting film which I don’t want to spoil.

Jessica Dawn Willis stars as Jamie Foster/Distal Marrow, and she’s joined by Danielle Harris and Michael Ironside. Mitch McLeod directed the film, and he co-wrote the script with Preston Fassel.

Marrow will be on VOD starting November 3.
