Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka arrived hand-in-hand at Heidi Klum’s Halloween party as the ghostly Grady girls from The Shining, holding still with vacant expressions to recreate the characters’ hallway appearance.

For Klum’s 25th annual party on October 31, 2026, at Cathédrale Restaurant in Manhattan’s Moxy East Village, the couple paired powder-blue dresses with pink floral sashes, brunette wigs and opaque white contact lenses. Pale makeup, bloodstained fabric, white knee-high socks and black Mary Janes completed the costumes.

The girls in Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 film were played by real-life twins Lisa and Louise Burns. They haunt the Overlook Hotel after being murdered by their father, its previous caretaker.

Harris, 53, and Burtka, 51, have been creating elaborate Halloween costumes with their twins, Harper and Gideon, since 2011. Their family themes have included Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, Star Wars and Greek gods, but their children, now 16, weren’t part of this party look.
The couple previously attended Klum’s party dressed as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in 2019. Burtka also played The Shining’s Jack Torrance for the family’s 2021 Halloween costumes.
