A creature that reads body language and eats stressed people turns a gas station night shift into a survival test for Nick Swardson and Pauly Shore in Remain Calm. They play coworkers Erwin and Matt, whose warning comes from a smiling federal government man played by Doug Jones.

The visitor says something has escaped from a facility in the desert. The clerks figure he’s on “really good Molly.”

Keeping their composure becomes essential once the threat is real. Kevin Keppy plays the creature, Mr. Frett, with special effects by Gorgazma.

Writer-director Jake Lewis said reacting to horror “with aggressive positivity was really funny to me.” Shore previously worked with Lewis on The Court Jester and said he’d be interested in a feature version of Remain Calm.

The Lewis Brothers released the full short on YouTube on October 12, 2026. It’s free to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ETZmhzURfQ
