Some Viewers Say Robert Pattinson's 'Primetime' Makes Them Root for the Predators It Portrays

Robert Pattinson’s movie Primetime, which is about Chris Hansen and the popularity of the “To Catch a Predator” show, has sparked debate over whether it makes viewers sympathize with the predators it depicts.

Does watching a predator face the consequences of their actions make you feel sorry for them?

I didn’t have this experience while watching Robert Pattinson’s Primetime movie, which is about Chris Hansen and the popularity of the ‘To Catch a Predator’ show.

In it, Pattinson as Hansen lures predators to homes where they think they will be able to prey on children. Instead, Chris Hansen confronts them with cameras. Some of the predators cry because they realize they will be outed as predators on national television. I don’t feel sorry for them.

But some have argued that since Chris Hansen is presented as a morally imperfect person, and the predators are crying, and you “have” to root for a “side” in a movie, that Primetime presents predators as victims.
