The Best Horror Movie of 2025 Is Now Streaming on HBO Max

“This world already left you for dead. Won’t let you build. Won’t let you fellowship. We will do just that. Together. Forever.”

If this image from Sinners (2025) could speak, it would say “Nah, we cousins.”

Sinners is the best horror movie of 2025 (so far). Set in rural Mississippi in 1932, Sinners sees twin brothers Stack and Smoke (both played by Michael B. Jordan) who return to their hometown to open a juke joint. Along with their friends, cousin, employees and guests, the twins face real (racists) and supernatural (vampires) obstacles on the night of their grand opening. Written, directed and produced by Ryan Coogler, Sinners is a horror movie everyone should watch.

Now, Sinners is available to anyone with an HBO Max membership. This is due to the film being distributed by Warner Bros, which is owned by the same parent company as HBO Max. Warner Bros films are usually added to HBO about three months after a film is released in theaters. Sinners is just two weeks shy of three months since it’s theatrical release.
