The Pet Cemetery Murders

The Pet Cemetery Murders

THE PET CEMETERY MURDERS is true crime with a supernatural twist, making it perfect for the Halloween season.

First of all, no, this does not have anything to do with Stephen King’s Pet Sematary.

The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story is a true-crime series that chronicles the case of Dorothy Lou Thompson, a woman whose body was found wrapped in chains in the Mississippi River in 1985. Dorothy was the owner of a pet cemetery in Louisiana, and the investigation into her death went cold for decades.

Then, as the write-up for The Pet Cemetery Murders explains, someone went to police with a story about being visited by Dorothy’s ghost. As more stories came in, the investigation was re-opened. This three-part true crime series explores the revelations that ensued.

The trailer for the miniseries is out now, and it does look intriguing.

The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story premieres on HBO and HBO Max on October 11, with the second and third parts airing October 18 and 25.
