Darry Jenner sees someone dumping bodies near a church in Jeepers Creepers and insists on going back to investigate. His sister Trish warns him to leave it alone. That decision is the basis of the popular theory that they could’ve escaped by staying on the road.
Darry, played by Justin Long, pushes ahead over Trish’s objections. Gina Philips plays the sister whose warning gives the scene its painful appeal: she’s already telling him to do exactly what you’d want a horror character to do.
The escape theory comes with a catch. The Creeper had already chased their car and forced them off the road before they returned to the church.
