‘Until Dawn’ is Now Streaming on Netflix

Now you can re-live the same horrific night on a loop just like the characters in the movie.

Until Dawn is now streaming on Netflix.

The latest video-game-based horror movie, Until Dawn, is streaming on Netflix as of today, July 24th, 2025.

Until Dawn stars Ella Rubin as Clover, a young woman searching for her missing sister. While traveling with four of her friends, Clover discovers a lead that sends her to the small town of Glore Valley. She and her friends take shelter from a storm in the town’s visitor center where they are all killed by a masked man. But then they wake up, alive and well, only to be forced to repeat the same night over and over as they are repeatedly killed by different forces each time the cycle repeats.

Until Dawn came out in theaters on April 25th, 2025.

Until Dawn received mixed yet generally positive reviews from audiences upon its theatrical release. The kill sequences are undeniably fun. However, the use of a time-loop narrative is divisive. I’ve written about this at length in my review of Until Dawn, so I won’t go into my issues with it here. What I will say is that the time loop shifts the movie’s focus away from strong character moments and tension, and makes it mostly about watching a bunch of different ways to kill the film’s characters.

But hey, as a fun movie to put on and not think too much about, Until Dawn works fine. Don’t take my word for it though. See it for yourself.

If you missed it in theaters and weren’t willing to pay digital rental prices (or purchase it on physical media), now is the best time to finally see Until Dawn. Assuming you have a Netflix subscription. Check it out here.

Until Dawn was directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation), and it was written by Gary Dauberman (Annabelle Comes Home, It 2017), and Blair Butler (The Invitation, Polaroid).

The movie stars Ella Rubin (Fear Street: Prom Queen, Anora), Michael Cimino (Annabelle Comes Home), Odessa A’zion (Hellraiser, 2022), Ji-young Yoo (K-Pop Demon Hunters), and Belmont Cameli (Saved by the Bell, 2020). Also appearing is veteran actor Peter Stormare (Fargo, 1996) who played Dr. Hill in the original video game.
