New Fears Eve

New Fears Eve (2025)
The Doctor has an instantly memorable design.

Star Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Released digitally December 16th, 2025 | Stream on Screambox

What better way to start a new year of daily horror digests than with a New Year’s themed horror movie? New Fears Eve follows a trio of friends and coworkers whose New Year’s office party is besieged by a killer in a plague mask. The movie is packed with many, many kills that make extensive use of practical effects. This, for me, is the biggest draw for the film.

New Fears Eve (2025)
Felissa Rose is one of the notable cameos in New Fears Eve, and she’s awesome in every scene she’s in.

The story in New Fears Eve is good. Though there are a few unanswered questions surrounding the killer’s backstory, the main story focusing on friends Brian, Moses, and Leslie is put together nicely. There’s some good chemistry among the three lead actors. There are also plenty of amusing moments throughout the movie’s dialogue (and a few groan-worthy moments as well.

New Fears Eve is made for fans of old-school slasher comedies, and it’s one I’ll likely be adding to my yearly year-end watch list. If you’d like to know more, check out my full review of New Fears Eve.
