Fall Horror Movies to Stream the Weekend of 9/2
Working on my fall horror aesthetic.
Hey Creepy Catalogers,
Here’s what I’m streaming this weekend:
The Blair Witch Project (1999). Streaming on Hulu. Revisiting The Blair Witch Project is a great way to kick off Halloween season. Bonus: reading about people’s memories of seeing Blair Witch Project for the first time is pretty fun. Double bonus: Blair Witch 2: The Book of Shadows (2000) was added to Prime this month if you feel like a double feature.
I Saw The Devil (2010). Streaming on Prime. Fans of Se7en (1995) will love this Korean thriller about a depraved serial killer. It’s a cat and mouse story about a special agent who hunts the serial killer down after his fiance is brutally murdered.
What Lies Beneath (2000). Streaming on HBO Max. A perfect horror movie to ease into fall. Set in a beautiful Vermont haunted house in the fall, married couple Claire (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Spencer (Harrison Ford) Norman whose relationship is strained by Claire’s belief that their home may be haunted and that their new neighbor is abusing his wife. The aesthetics of this film are perfect for spooky season.
This week in horror:
- The Tusk (2014) sequel is coming whether you want it or not.
- The trailer for the Winnie the Pooh horror movie dropped.
- 31 Days of Horror Movies for Halloween season 2022.
- Check out Arrow’s September lineup.
- We’re getting a Bring It On horror movie.
Creepy reads:
- People discuss interacting with serial killers.
