10 Horror Movies Coming to Tubi in August 2025

Every kind of horror fan can find something they like on Tubi.

Tubi is a free streaming service that maintains a diverse catalog of horror movies. From classics like When a Stranger Calls (1979), campy 80’s films like Children of the Corn (1985), foreign horror like Let the Right One In (2008) independent horror like Spree (2020) and recent hits like The Menu (2022) every kind of horror fan can find something they like on Tubi. Here are the horror movies they will be adding this August:

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)

90s teen icons Michelle Williams and Josh Hartnett starred with Jamie Lee Curtis and LL Cool J in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998).

Halloween: H20 is the seventh Halloween movie. It follows Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) years after she has faked her death and started a new life as Keri Tate, the headmistress of a private boarding school in California. She is still traumatized by her past and seeks to protect her son John (Josh Hartnett in his feature film debut) from her presumably deceased brother, Michael Myers. However, on Halloween Myers arrives on campus to stalk Keri, John and the skeleton crew of students and staff.

The Grudge 2 (2006)

A supernatural horror movie that stars Amber Tamblyn as Aubrey, the younger sister of Karen, the protagonist of the first Grudge film played by Sarah Michelle Gellar. Aubrey travels to Japan to help her sister but ends up witnessing Karen’s death instead. She then learns about Kayako and the curse with the help of a local reporter.

The Omen (2006)

A remake of the 1976 film in which an American diplomat stationed in Italy secretly replaces his stillborn son with another baby at the request of a priest. His adopted son, Damien, turns out to be troubled. As Damien ages, disturbing and gruesome events begin to occur.

Priest (2011)

An action horror movie set in a world where humans and vampires have been fighting for centuries. Paul Bettany portrays a human warrior priest whose niece is kidnapped by vampires. He disobeys his community’s rules in order to rescue her and sets out towards an epic battle.

Ouija: Origin Of Evil (2016)

A seance results in a young girl becoming possessed in Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016).

A prequel to Ouija (2014), Elizabeth Reaser stars as a widow who runs a fraudulent medium service out of her Los Angeles home in order to support her children. When she incorporates a Ouija board into her work, a spirit begins to possess her daughter.

XX (2017)

The Strangers: Prey At Night (2018)

A slasher movie and the first sequel to The Strangers, though it follows an entirely new cast of characters. A family of four travels to a remote trailer park in Ohio to spend time together before one of the teen children leaves for boarding school. There, they encounter the strangers and fight for their lives.

Slice (2018)

A horror comedy about a town overrun with ghosts due to the presence of a defunct sanatorium. When a pizza delivery boy is murdered, the town blames the ghosts. However, a few locals are intent on determining what actually happened.

I See You (2019)

A family is troubled by unexplainable events occurring in their home.

A home invasion horror/thriller movie about a police officer investigating the case of a missing boy. At home, he and his wife struggle as their relationship deteriorates. Strange things also occur in the home, which lead up to a huge twist near the end of the movie.

Room 203 (2022)

Lifelong friends Kim and Izzy move into a new apartment together. The girls become convinced that their apartment is haunted by an evil spirit. Their investigation leads to a horrible discovery.
