Cassandra Peterson is, of course, best known for playing Elvira for decades. In the upcoming Tubi Original, R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2, Peterson plays Cassadra, a witch who just might have the information two kids need to stop a curse plaguing their town.
“I got the offer to play a redhead, who can be older, could be any age, and is named Cassandra, and it was like, ‘Okay, yes, I’ll do that.’ I mean, why not,” Peterson told Bloody Disgusting of her part in the film.
So, yeah, it definitely sounds like writer/director Jem Garrard wrote the part for Cassandra Peterson.
R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 streams on Tubi beginning October 9.
