Paradise Lost Brings a Missing Son Home After 9 Years, but Something About Him Feels Wrong. In theaters November 6

Paradise Lost comes from director and co-writer Yeon Sang-ho (Train to Busan, Colony). Ryu Yong-jae (Human Vapor, Peninsula) also co-wrote the script, based on the novel Black Inferno by Oh Seong-eun.

Kim Hyun-joo stars as So-Young, a mother whose young son disappears from a camping trip. So-Young uses an AI-powered virtual reality program to recreate her son as he was, but when her real son, Sun-woo (Bae Hyun-sung), returns nine years later, something about the young man feels off to her. And what has Sun-woo been doing these past nine years?

Paradise Lost will be released in the U.S. by Well Go USA, and it will be in theaters starting November 6, 2026.
