Curry Barker Wants to Make a “F**ked Up” Version of an Indiana Jones Style Adventure Movie

While the outlet Gold Derby was speaking with Curry Barker, they brought up the fact that Barker’s filmmaking partner, Cooper Tomlinson, said it was one of his “career crusades” to make a Steven Spielberg style adventure movie. To that, Barker responded:

“I would want to do a really f**ked up, rated-R version of [Indiana Jones]. I want to do a crazy adventure movie. That’s something that Cooper and I have talked about, because we feel like we’ve never seen something like that; we’ve only ever seen the family-friendly version.”

Curry Barker rose to mainstream prominence earlier this year with the release of the hit horror film Obsession. His next movie is Anything But Ghosts, a comedy horror film about two paranormal investigators (Barker and Tomlinson) who fake hauntings but encounter real ghosts during their latest job. Barker also has the reins for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, though not much is known about that other than he will write and direct it for A24.
