A Scary Horror Movie You Can Watch on Netflix Right Now

“I let you in.”

Sophie Wilde stars as a woman whose friends conjure spirits with an embalmed hand in the highly anticipated Talk to Me.

The Netflix horror selection currently includes one of the best horror movies of the past few years. Talk to Me (2022), written and directed by brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, is now streaming on the service. It is already one of the service’s most popular films.

Talk to Me is a supernatural horror movie about a party game involving the embalmed hand of a psychic. By holding the hand and saying “talk to me”, querents are able to commune with the dead. Taking it a step further, saying “I let you in” allows a spirit to possess their body. Each player has a strict time limit of 90 seconds before they must disconnect from the hand.

The studio behind Talk to Me, A24, sells a collectible version of the embalmed hand in their merch shop.

The main character in Talk to Me is 17-year-old Mia, who is still grieving the death of her mother after two years. Understandably, she is fascinated by the Talk to Me game and endangers herself and others by overstaying the 90 second time limit. Mia is then haunted by a spirit she believes is her mother, who asks her to do something terrible.

There is already a sequel (jokingly referred to as Talk 2 Me) in the works.

Talk to Me (2022) is currently streaming on Netflix.
