A Seventh ‘Final Destination’ Movie Is Now in Development

“Death’s work is never done.”

Kaitlyn Santa Juana stars in Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025).

It took 14 years for a new Final Destination sequel to hit theaters. This is surprising since its predecessor, Final Destination 5 (2011), was pretty decent as far as sequels go. It even contained a twist-ending so shocking, franchise star Devon Sawa didn’t see it coming.

Now, the series’ the sixth installment, Final Destination: Bloodlines, is one of the best horror movies of 2025 and possibly even the best movie in the Final Destination franchise. It’s also made a lot of money, grossing $285.3 million worldwide on its $50 million budget. It’s no surprise then that work on a seventh Final Destination movie has already begun.

Richard Harmon posted a photo of himself and Final Destination: Bloodlines producer Craig Perry, wearing an “I’m Jerry Fenburry” t-shirt to his Instagram.

The Hollywood Reporter says Warner Bros has hired Bloodlines co-writer Lori Evans to write a script for a seventh Final Destination movie. They’ve also hired franchise producer Craig Perry (seen above in an “I’m Jerry Fenbury” shirt with Bloodlines star Richard Harmon) along with Warren Zide, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle and Toby Emmerich to produce the project. While Bloodlines wraps up the stories of its characters pretty definitively, directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein have said “Death’s work is never done. There are always more scores to settle” when talking about potential sequels.

Final Destination 7 will appear on our New/Upcoming Horror Movies Tracker when it’s gearing up for release. For now, catch Final Destination: Bloodlines streaming on HBO.
