The goal of Creeptober is simple: to share our love of horror movies throughout October by watching and discussing 31 amazing films with all of you! We’ve made a list of some of our favorite horror movies to watch during the Halloween season, and we want you to watch along with us. To get the conversations going, we will be posting the following every single day in October:

  • A daily post on CreepyCatalog.com recapping that day’s movie and sharing our opinions about it.
  • Daily discussion posts on our Facebook page.
  • Clips/memes and deep dives on that day’s selection on social media (follow us on Instagram and TikTok). We encourage everyone to join on the conversation with thoughts and opinions. Lively discussions about horror movies are the best!

The Challenge

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
Watching a movie every day isn’t too much of a challenge, is it? (pictured: Creeptober’s day 6 movie, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors)

The challenge of Creeptober, as with any movie watching challenge, is keeping up with the a-movie-a-day pace. October is a busy month for horror fanatics like us (meaning, us here at Creepy Catalog, but also you, the person reading this right now). But setting aside a little time each and every day to relax with a good movie and reflect about why it’s so enjoyable is a good idea. No, it’s a great idea. It’s like meditation for horror fans. So, think of Creeptober as less of a movie watching challenge, and more of a movie watching opportunity for self-care.
