Season 3 of Netflix’s “Haunted Hotel” already has its scripts written, with creator Matt Roller saying the team’s aiming for 10 episodes. The adult animated comedy has been renewed for a 2027 return, with Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides and Jimmi Simpson returning to the voice cast.

The renewal follows season 2’s October premiere and appearance on Netflix’s Global English TV Top 10 list. Season 1, released in September 2025, has accumulated more than 15 million views.

Roller, a “Rick & Morty” writer, built the series around a single mother raising 2 children while running the Undervale, a hotel full of supernatural guests. Her helpers include her brother’s ghost, a demon inhabiting a young boy’s body and an expanding circle of otherworldly friends.

Dan Harmon, Chris McKenna and Steve Levy executive produce alongside Roller. Supervising director Erica Hayes also worked on “Rick & Morty.” Titmouse handles the animation, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina serving as executive producers.

Roller discussed the completed scripts and planned episode count on “The Bulwark Goes to Hollywood” podcast earlier in October. In his renewal statement, he said: “Season 3 is full of the biggest, funniest, scariest, saddest and ‘Abaddoniest’ stories we’ve ever told, and I can’t wait for everyone to see them. Candles!”
