One of Netflix’s Most Underrated Scary Movies Is Leaving in Two Days (Oct. 15)

The best part? The last minute of the movie provides a sinister bit of context that will make you want to watch the whole film over again.

In just two days, sci-fi thriller Circle (2015) will disappear off of Netflix.

Netflix doesn’t add many horror movies to its selection, so it can be tough for fans to figure out what to watch on the service. The same few movies on Netflix are widely recommended and they don’t change often. However, one scary movie on Netflix is pretty good, has an incredible twist-ending and isn’t often mentioned in conversations about the best horror movies on Netflix.

The game board in Circle.

Circle (2015) is a sci-fi psychological thriller with a very simple premise. 50 people suddenly find themselves in a room together. Each person is standing on a circle in a game board-like setup. Eventually, the group deduces that they must choose a person to die every two minutes or the game will choose at random. With the minutes ticking down to the time when the group will be whittled down to one player, different strategies emerge as players try to ensure their survival.

Here’s the trailer:

Circle isn’t the kind of movie that is going to change your life. But it’s fun to watch and it’s a great movie to watch with friends because of the conversations it engenders — what would your strategy be? Who would you target? Who would you trust? The best part? The last minute of the movie provides a sinister bit of context that will make you want to watch the whole film over again.

After being available (and criminally underseen) on Netflix for years, the movie will leave the platform this Wednesday, October 15th. Watch it while you still can! Circle is streaming on Netflix here.
