The Scream 30th-anniversary collector’s set arrives December 15, 2026, as an Amazon exclusive styled as a Woodsboro Police evidence kit. It includes the original 1996 film on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital, plus a replica of Casey Becker’s cordless phone that rings and plays quotes from the movie.
Inside the box: a case folder listing the victim as Casey Becker and the reporting deputy as D. Riley, a “Persons of Interest” suspect sheet with Gale Weathers on it and Neil Prescott as a silhouette with a question mark, six Polaroid-style suspect photos, and a recreated Woodsboro newspaper article. The replica phone arrives blood-spattered, runs on two AA batteries, and needs minor assembly. There’s also one more piece of evidence the makers say they’re leaving “for you to discover.”
And it’s only $109.99!
The price is where fans drew the line. On X, the running joke is that you’re paying collector-prop money for a 4K most people already own.
“CORDLESS PHONE: 5.00 bucks (thrift store) and if you search well enough even with blood stains. SCREAM 4K UltraHD: 19.99 bucks. There you go, I save you 85 bucks!” one user wrote. Another put it bluntly: “$110 and no new content on the disc is wild. You can get Scream/Scream (2022) 2 pack on 4K for $20.”
Others wanted more for their money. “Over $100 for a 30 year old movie that is held in a folder. Some Polaroids and a toy phone….” one reply read. “I would consider it if it was the full series but $100 one movie???” asked another.
No source has confirmed a new 4K transfer or any new on-disc extras. For its 25th anniversary in October 2021, the film made its 4K Ultra HD debut.
