Tim Curry spends the last stretch of Clue (1985) sprinting from room to room, reconstructing every murder in real time.
The movie had three theatrical endings, and on VHS — which is how most people actually saw it — they play back to back. Curry’s Wadsworth spends that frantic third act in a full-on sprint.
He later described the toll. “I actually had a sort of incident of high blood pressure towards the end, when all of the conclusions were happening, because I was running around like a mad person. They took me to the doctor and I had to take pills for a week, my blood pressure was so high. Which was very tiresome.”
That sprint is why the movie still works. And Curry made it look easy.
