The ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Trailer is Finally Here!
A new generation of Southport teens are harassed by someone in a fisherman’s slicker, wielding a deadly hook in one hand.

Fans of 90s horror movies rejoiced when it was announced that a new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie was in production with original stars Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt signed on. Now, a trailer for the film dropped and plot details have been made clear.

Up to this point, we’ve only known a few details about the film, like it is going to ignore the low budget third I Know movie (as well as the cursed Amazon television series) and serve as a direct sequel to I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998). The trailer shows a new generation of Southport teens being harassed by someone in a fisherman’s slicker, wielding a deadly hook in one hand. They turn to Prinze Jr. and Hewitt’s characters, Ray and Julie, for help.
Here’s the trailer:
The film’s official description reads: “When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.”
While it wasn’t shown in the trailer, production has also hinted at a possible return for I Still Know final girl Karla Wilson, played by Brandy. Director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson told inquiring fans “You’ll have to go see the movie.”
I Know What You Did Last Summer will be in theaters July 18.
