The bucket has percolator-style arms, a working mouthpiece, and fake smoke effects on the larger versions. It went viral the moment right away, with replies asking whether it actually functions and how fast theaters would sell out.

It’s a tie-in for Scary Movie 6, the first entry in the franchise since 2013 and the first to reunite the original creative team since Scary Movie 2 in 2001. Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, and Shawn Wayans are all back, with Marlon and Shawn Wayans co-writing alongside Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez. Michael Tiddes (the A Haunted House movies) is directing.

The bucket is sold exclusively at participating theaters, primarily AMC, which has built a reputation for these kinds of collectible concessions after the Dune sandworm, the Terrifier popcorn tins, and the Scream Ghostface bucket. Paramount hasn’t announced pricing, but comparable AMC buckets usually run $25 to $45 with a popcorn and drink combo.
Scary Movie 6 hits theaters June 5, a week earlier than its original June 12 date after the teaser reception convinced Paramount to move it up. The film parodies recent horror hits including Sinners, Weapons, The Substance, Longlegs, Heretic, Terrifier 3, Smile, and M3GAN, with Kenan Thompson appearing as a Michael Jackson parody and a Terrifier 3 cameo from Felissa Rose and Michael Leavy.
