Of Course Netflix Already Has a Docuseries on the Murdaugh Family
If you’re not familiar with this case, buckle up.
Hey Creepy Catalogers,
Here’s what I’m streaming this weekend:
Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal (2023). Streaming on Netflix. This docuseries covers the absolutely bonkers story of a famous southern family involved in a grisly series of true crime cases over the past few years. If you’re not familiar with this case, buckle up.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019). Streaming on Netflix. This is a really decent sequel to the Mandy Moore shark attack movie 47 Meters Down (2017). A group of teenagers scuba dive to explore a Mayan city, but are hunted by sharks.
Piggy (2022). Streaming on Hulu. New on Hulu is Piggy, a Spanish horror movie about Sara (Laura Galán), an overweight teenager who is bullied at the same local watering hole that is frequented by a serial killer. The two strike up an uneasy alliance.
This week in horror:
- Mia Goth and Pearl got multiple nominations at the Critics Choice Super Awards.
- Laurie Metcalf is returning to horror.
- James Cameron confirmed the insane PCP chowder served on the set of Titanic rumor.
- Elizabeth Banks’ Variety photoshoot for Cocaine Bear is so good.
- The Pope’s Exorcist trailer looks like campy gold.
Happy streaming and stay spooky!
