Written and directed by Na Hong-Jin (The Wailing), Hope begins with a mysterious attack made in a remote harbor town. As local police and a few citizens search for the threat, they discover that they are in much more danger than they first realized.
Hope is a sci-fi action thriller with a fantastic cast. The movie stars Hoyeon, Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Taylor Russell, and Cameron Britton.
Unfortunately, Hope wasn’t playing in theaters near me long enough to get out to see it, but I’ve heard very good things about it and will be watching soon. From what I’ve gathered without digging too deep for fear of spoilers, the action is top notch, even if some people find that the story doesn’t keep the same momentum or intrigue as the earlier parts of the film. Regardless, it looks great to me.
Hope is now on digital platforms at premium VOD prices. You can find it on Prime Video, Fandango at Home, and more.
