Dot-Marie Jones (Glee, The Boondock Saints) stars in Breeder as Pattie, a highly successful breeder of poodles. Russell is a college student in need of funding for a bee-breeding research project. When Patti reaches out to help fund Russell’s work, he finds out, maybe too late, that Patti has decided to use her breeding skills on a different species.
Reviews for Breeder are generally quite positive, and they tend to praise the movie’s quirkiness, its dark humor, and how uncomfortable it can be at times.
Along with Dot-Marie Jones, Breeder stars Daniel Doheny, Maddie Phillips, and Tanaya Beatty. Alex Goyette wrote and directed the movie.
Breeder was released in U.S. theaters on October 28, 2026. It was released by IFC and Shudder, so we can expect to see it streaming on Shudder in the near future, but no date for that is available right now.
