Ralph Fiennes delivered President Snow’s propaganda speech during CNN and Fox News coverage of the November 3 midterm results, in an ad for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Then the fictional broadcast began breaking up, flashing a message: “Break the machine.”

The spot stays inside the world of Panem, with Snow recounting the history used to justify the Games. Interference interrupts his address with “Please Standby” before a 10-second countdown begins. Maya Hawke’s Mags delivers the line: “All machines can be broken.”

As Snow announces “Two boys” and “two girls” from each district, the ad introduces Haymitch Abernathy, played by Joseph Zada; Wyatt Callow, played by Ben Wang; Lou Lou, played by Iona Bell; and Maysilee Donner, played by Mckenna Grace.

Snow closes with “May the odds be ever in your favour.” The Capitol logo appears, and Mags repeats her warning about machines. The prequel opens in theaters November 20.
