The Gallerist is an upcoming dark-comedy thriller about a gallery who is trying to prove herself in the ruthless world of high-society art. When someone accidentally dies in her gallery, she makes the split-second decision to pass off the corpse as part of the art. But how long can she keep up the charade?

Natalie Portman stars as gallery owner Polina Polinski. She’s joined in the all-star cast by Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Daniel Brühl, Zach Galifianakis, and Charli XCX.

Cathy Yan (Birds of Prey) directed from a script written by herself and James Pedersen.
The first thing I thought of when watching the trailer is that it looks and feels sort of like the high-stakes, fashionable world of The Devil Wears Prada, and the story feels a bit like the “passing off a dead body as art” theme of Roger Corman’s A Bucket of Blood.

The Gallerist will be in theaters starting December 4, 2026.
