A New Halloween Fan Film Connects Season of the Witch to the Rest of the Film Series

Well, okay. It doesn’t connect to EVERY movie in the franchise, but it does try to make connections between Silver Shamrock and the story of Halloween from the beginning through at least part six, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

The title of the short film is Project Shamrock: The Secret Origins of Michael Myers Exposed. You can find it on the “Jason Eisener” YouTube channel. Jason Eisener wrote, directed, and edited the film.

The short is presented as secret film footage unearthed from Shamrock Industries. Silver Shamrock Novelties, you’ll remember, is the company that made the masks in Halloween III: Season of the Witch which killed people who were wearing them when they were exposed to a signal sent through television.

The footage shows an interview with a janitor who worked at the Silver Shamrock factory, intercut with film of various experiments and field tests of the Silver Shamrock masks. I won’t spoil everything since it’s pretty fun to watch and discover references for yourself. But yeah, it tries to connect Michael Myers into the influence of Silver Shamrock, and it connects the cult of Thorn to the mystical side of what the company was doing.

Like I said, it’s fun. The only issue I see is that in Halloween III: Season of the Witch, we briefly see a commercial on TV for the original Halloween movie. Although, that TV broadcast of Halloween was presented by Silver Shamrock, so maybe in the world of Season of the Witch the Silver Shamrock company funded a docudrama about the events in Haddonfield, and that’s what their version of Halloween is.
