New Group is from writer and director Yuta Shimotsu, the filmmaker behind the intriguing ‘Best Wishes to All’.
New Group follows Ai (Anna Yamada), a high school student who doesn’t want to make waves, and Yu (Yuzu Aoki), a transfer student who questions everything. One day students start forming a human pyramid, and others are compelled to join. As more people become one with the pyramid and other human structures, Ai and Yu resist, though they may find themselves crushed by the forces of conformity.
New Group streams on Shudder and AMC+ beginning November 6, 2026.
