American Horror Story has a 14th season secured at FX with its season 13 finale still ahead on October 29. Co-creator Ryan Murphy is already writing what could take the anthology beyond its American setting.
“I really want this show to go international,” Murphy said. He described an international version as something he’s exploring, so a setting for season 14 hasn’t been confirmed.
The renewal extends a series that began with Murder House in 2011. Its current season brings together characters from several earlier installments, with Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Jessica Lange each returning to multiple roles.
Murphy said at the season 13 premiere that he doesn’t want to repeat a reunion on that scale, though he’s open to bringing actors and characters back: “I mean, I would like to work with all those actors and have some of the characters come back.”
