A killer driven by grief targets people breaking quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic in CINGHIA, now on VOD.
Cinghia is a low-budget Italian horror movie (“cinghia” means “belt” in English) that appears to emulate the style of grindhouse/exploitation movies of the era in and around the 1970s.
It tells the story of a man whose mother dies during the pandemic, and his grief compels him to slaughter people who he catches breaking the rules of quarantine.
The film is from writer and director Byron Rink, and it stars Emanuela Greco, Brando Improta, Simona Fossa, and Valerio Zaccardo.
