Dead Meat’s Horror Anthology Film, 'Fresh Meat', Is Now Available to Watch at Home

James A. Janisse and Chelsea Rebecca present Fresh Meat, a horror anthology that is the culmination of a short film contest they held through Dead Meat Productions, in collaboration with Hades Films.

The contest began earlier this year, and hundreds of short films were submitted. The thirteen finalists were used to create the horror anthology film Fresh Meat, which also includes a frame story directed by Janisse. The movie was screened on October 12 for one night only, and viewers voted on the winner. The winning film was “Closing Hour,” an animated short by director Tom Skink.

Fresh Meat is now available to rent digitally, exclusively on the Pijama streaming app. Janisse said that Pijama was chosen because it is made “by and for independent filmmakers,” and because it gives a “much higher revenue split to creatives than the mainstream alternatives” (Bloody Disgusting – Oct. 23, 2026).
