Jessica Rothe of the Happy Death Day movies will star in the mystery thriller Seeker alongside Cooper Tomlinson and Mika Abdalla .
Tomlinson will star in Seeker as Grant, a man who is struggling to deal with the disappearance of his fiancée Caroline (Mika Abdalla). Grant is a rideshare driver, and he picks up a passenger who he is convinced is responsible for Caroline’s disappearance.
The news came from Deadline on Nov. 4, 2026, though the reporting didn’t specify if the passenger Grant picks up is played by Jessica Rothe.
Rothe is best known to many horror fans for her role as Tree in the Happy Death Day movies. She’s also making a bit of a horror comeback with Affection, Beware Boiúna, Imposters, Pathetic Fallacy, and River, all of which are either out or coming soon.
Cooper Tomlinson rocketed to widespread fame for his role as Ian in Obsession. He’ll also star in Curry Barker’s next film, Anything But Ghosts.
Mika Abdalla is best known for the series Off Campus. She also had roles in the shows The Pitt and The Flash, and she was in the movies Snack Shack and Sex Appeal.
Adam Rehmeier (Caroline Caroline, The Bunny Game) will direct Seeker from a script by Michael Learner. Production for Seeker is scheduled for January 2027.
