1. In the Scream series, Ghostface is voiced by Roger L. Jackson. The director, Wes Craven, intentionally hid Jackson on the set of all three original movies, so that his voice would be scarier to the actors hearing it. During the scenes where the characters were being taunted on the phone, Jackson was hidden on set, actually making the calls.

2. In Evil Dead II, you can see Freddy Krueger’s glove from Nightmare on Elm Street. It’s hanging above the door in the tool shed.

3. In the final scene of Let The Right One In, when the two main characters are communicating with morse code, they tap the word “puss” which means “small kiss” in Swedish.

The reason why the horny teens all die is simply that they’re so preoccupied with getting laid that they don’t notice that there’s a killer at large. Laurie Strode, on the other hand, spends a lot of time on her own and is therefore more alert.

8. A few homages to Alfred Hitchcock are hidden in John Carpenter’s Halloween. Carpenter cast Psycho star Janet Leigh’s daughter Jamie Lee Curtis in the lead role, and named another main character, Dr. Sam Loomis, after the object of Janet Leigh’s affection in Psycho.

9. The Candyman, played by Tony Todd, had to put real bees into his mouth to film the movie’s climax.

10. Because he was so young Danny Lloyd, the actor kid who played Danny in The Shining, was not told he was making a horror film. He thought it was going to be a drama.

What can they do but kill me, right?!” While he was filming Dirty Mary Crazy Larry (1974), he insisted on having a $1 million life insurance policy before he would shoot any scenes involving the helicopter in which he was due to ride. He was very insistent, and when asked why, Morrow replied “I have always had a premonition I was going to die in a helicopter crash!”

55. In Ouija: Origin of Evil the three rules for the board (don’t play alone, don’t play in a graveyard, and always say goodbye) are not given as instructions in the real Hasbro Ouija board game.

56. When filming American Psycho, clothing brands did not want Patrick Bateman wearing their clothes during violent scenes. So this fashionable serial killer make the costume production team work on overdrive to ensure no brands were associated with the murderous scenes.

57. New Line Cinema is sometimes called “The House That Freddy Built” because they were on the verge of bankruptcy before the success of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).
