LOL with the Blissfield Butcher

LOLs with the Blissfield Butcher.

Hey Creepy Catalogers,

Here’s the best of what’s streaming across the internet this weekend (12/11):

Best of Netflix:

Cam. Get ready to submerse yourself in the neon pink world of online sex work. This is a Netflix horror movie about a cam girl discovers her account has been taken over by a doppelgänger. Super creepy, anxiety-inducing, and fun to watch!

Best of Hulu:

The Conjuring 2. One of those rare horror movies that made me full out scream in the theater. Someone died watching this. The second installment of the series following real life demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren as they investigate the Enfield Haunting. If the film leaves you wanting more, I HIGHLY recommend this book on the couple’s paranormal investigations. I was absolutely terrified the entire time I read it.

Best of Amazon:

Freaky. I try to stay away from movies you have to pay for on this list but everyone has been talking about how fun this movie is! Consider it much less expensive than the theater and have a fun night in with this Blumhouse new release about a serial killer who switches bodies with a high school girl. Vince Vaughn stars as the “Blissfield Butcher”.

This week’s Horror Happenings:

— It’s not too late to join Creepy Catalog’s Krampus Christmas challenge and watch every Krampus movie before Christmas.

— Another great weekend watch that’s streaming on Netflix: The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

True Blood might be coming back.

— It turns out Jane Goodall is a soft Bigfoot truther. We love to see it!

Rob Zombie’s favorite horror movies.

— Some light reading about the Texarkana Moonlight Murders.

— Today I learned there’s a pica horror movie.

Stephen King recommends Sarah Paulson’s Run streaming on Hulu. (For the record, we do too!)

— A long list of creepy topics to dive into when you’re bored at work.

— Here’s a spooky sleep meditation for my fellow troubled sleepers.

The best horror movies about winter.

— Slightly disturbing video of what each planet “sounds” like.

Happy streaming and stay spooky!!
