The First Feature Film Directed by Steven Spielberg’s Daughter is Headed to Tubi This Month
The film is described by Destry Allyn Spielberg as “The Goonies meets Children of Men.”

As reported earlier today by Deadline, Please Don’t Feed the Children will make its streaming debut in the United States and Canada on June 27th on Tubi.
The film was directed by Destry Allyn Spielberg, the daughter of Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw. It is Destry’s feature film directing debut after a couple of short films, including the award winning Let Me Go the Right Way (2022).
Destry Spielberg describes her film (based on a script by Paul Bertino) as a psychological thriller that is “like The Goonies meets Children of Men.”
Please Don’t Feed the Children is set in a world where a virus wipes out most of the world’s adult population. A group of orphans set out to find a new life, only to be taken in by a woman who has a sinister secret.
Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey, Flight Risk) and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Abigail) star alongside a cast including Zoe Colletti (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark), Andrew Liner (Ransom Canyon), Dean Scott Vazquez (In the Heights) Regan Aliyah (XO, Kitty), Emma Meisel (American Horror Story: 1984), Josh Melnick (Saint X) and Vernon Davis (The Ritual Killer).
Tubi has a decent history of horror/thriller Tubi Originals. Lowlifes (2024) might be their best to date, but other fun ones include Tarot Curse (2025) and Slay (2024). It will be interesting to see how Please Don’t Feed the Children fits in with the pleasantly low-budget appeal of Tubi’s original offerings so far.
