All the Horror Movies and Dark Thrillers Coming to Netflix in June 2025
There’s only one new-release “horror” this month on Netflix, but there are some great classics joining.
There is only one brand-new “horror” movie coming to Netflix, and it’s not really horror. However, there are a few great horror films from the past joining (or rejoining) Netflix in June 2025. Take a look at all of the movies that have been announced so far, and check back for any last-minute additions as they come up.
Barbarian (2022)
For viewers who enjoy: twists, dark humor, tense atmospheres
Barbarian was a wonderful surprise when it was released back in 2022. The story begins with a woman named Tess (Georgina Campbell) arriving at an Airbnb that has been double booked. Without much of a choice, she decides to stay the night anyway while the other renter, Keith (Bill Skarsgård), sleeps on the couch. From there, the less you know about the story, the better, because Barbarian takes the viewer on a wild ride.
Us (2019)
For viewers who enjoy: Jordan Peele’s movies, layered stories, doppelgängers
Addy (Lupita Nyong’o) and Gabe (Winston Duke) take their family on a beach vacation. During the night, four strangers break into the house they’re staying in. To make a frightening situation even more unnerving, the strangers look just like Addy and her family. Us touches on ideas about family, identity, and society.
The Last Witch Hunter (2015)
For viewers who enjoy: dark fantasy, action horror
Hundreds of years ago, Kaulder (Vin Diesel) was a knight who helped kill a Witch Queen who was trying to destroy the world with a plague. Kaulder was cursed with eternal life, and in the present day he continues to battle against the forces of darkness. He faces his toughest battle when he learns of a plot to resurrect the Witch Queen.
K-Pop Demon Hunters (2025)
For viewers who enjoy: action comedies, fighting demons, animation from Sony Pictures Imageworks (the Spider-Verse movies)
Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) are K-pop superstars who moonlight as demon hunters. They’re on top of the world, but their demonic enemies are getting smarter. The demons disguise themselves as a boy band, thereby taking the fight directly to the trio of demon hunters while attempting to steal the hearts and souls of their fans.

A few of Alfred Hitchcock’s best movies come to Netflix on June 1st, all of which are listed below. Also included in the list is the biopic Hitchcock which also starts streaming on the first of the month. In addition to the movies listed below, Psycho (1960) is already available on Netflix.
