Alexander Skarsgård Wore a Gray Wig to a Wicker Screening, and His Reason Is All About Olivia Colman

Alexander Skarsgård turned up to an October 20 screening of Wicker in a long gray wig, then explained that Olivia Colman had been getting all the hair compliments.

“I got a little jealous because everyone is complimenting Olivia on her beautiful hair and beautiful hair color,” he said. “As a narcissistic actor, I need a little bit of attention, so I threw on a beautiful gray wig to match Olivia today.”

The wig accompanied a zipped black jacket and zebra-striped shorts at the SAG-AFTRA screening and Q&A at the Landmark Sunset in Los Angeles. Colman had appeared with wavy salt-and-pepper hair at the film’s Zurich green carpet on September 28.

“I got no love for my hair,” Skarsgård said.

His tribute to his Wicker co-star continued at the Los Angeles premiere that evening, where he wore a Chopova Lowena shirt printed with her face. That outfit, he explained, was for “Olivia, whom I adore.”
